Ground Disturbance

This Ground Disturbance Advanced Level 2 training course has been designed for those with an occupational requirement to be trained to safely undertake work activities that involve ground disturbance and is also intended for personnel who are required to manage, plan and supervise ground disturbance operations.

This course will provide supervisors with the knowledge to ensure that all ground disturbance is done in accordance with the governing code of practice, applicable regulations, and the terms and conditions of all project specific agreements and approvals.

This Ground Disturbance course will also establish an understanding of the statutory requirements of the Provincial, Territorial OH&S legislations, and Federal Acts & Regulations.   Including the National Energy Board.

We will achieve the course objective by participating in classroom discussion.

This course will provide the participant with the necessary knowledge regarding:

• Hazard Awareness and Control Procedures.
• Locate Marks & Locate Plans, Written Permissions and Approvals.
• Exposure of Buried Facilities and Contact with the Buried Facility.
• Mechanical Excavation and Overhead Power Limits of Approach.
• Ground Disturbance Protective Systems & Emergency Action Planning.
• Ground Disturbance Supervisors Responsibilities and Documentation.
