This Vacuum Excavation Truck Operator training course has been designed for those with an occupational requirement to be trained to safely undertake work that involves the operation of a vacuum excavation truck.

The goal of this course is to help you understand what the operator responsibilities are and how to manage those responsibilities to protect your health and safety and your co-workers.

This Vacuum Excavation Truck Operator course will also establish an understanding of the statutory requirements of the federal COHS, Provincial and Territorial OH&S legislations.

We will achieve this through discussion and by participating in skills practice and operator performance evaluation.

This course will provide the participant with the necessary knowledge regarding;

• Identify the Components, Controls and Safety Equipment on a Typical Vacuum Excavation Truck.
• Job Hazard Assessment and Hazard Handling Controls.
• Safe Vehicle Operation and Safe Driving Principles.
• Driver Qualifications and vehicle licensing and insurance.
• Start, Warm up, Shut Down and Refuelling Considerations.
• Perform Basic Operations with a Vacuum Excavation Truck.
